Normally, if a large rock blocks your road, you would be well-advised simply to find another road. The one exception to this is when duty or previous commitments demand that you face the obstacle directly (i.e., you try to remove the rock). Even if confronting the obstacle suggests a personal risk, duty and moral obligations must be taken very seriously, for personal integrity is a resource which is hard to replenish.
